So, Seattle doesn't really have a true "Cars & Coffee" that I've been able to find. There is E@RTC on Saturday mornings, but that's a niche group of cars that can participate. I'm talking about a full up, anyone is welcome as long as they aren't a douche, Cars & Coffee. I think I've found a good location (lots of parking, plenty of shops to support, etc) and wondered what some people have used to pitch the idea to the property owners.
Have a Carrera 2.7RS for your time.

Sadly, there isn't such a thing in Germany. I would love to start it, but getting a permission to use some adequate parking lot is super hard. The police and city administration will want to have a word with the organisation as well (health and safety and stuff), and then you need to have contacts to car owners, clubs and so on.

Cars and coffee where I live would be the 7-Eleven parking lot full of Mk III Golfs and a few Sentra SE-R's.

I think we could do one in the city I live in, but only during the summer. There is a small gathering at a car wash on Fridays but they are mostly ricers. They is a pretty sweet gathering called Street wheelers in the summer but that is just one weekend.
If everyone in town that had a cool car came it would be sweet: 2 Tesla's, army rigs, lots of muscle cars, r8, 2 Amg's, and the two rally Subaru's. But that is a long shot.

Depending on work, hell yea! Should I bring the Aveo or the Dakota? Ha ha I could weigh the differences too! 1.6L vs 5.9L. FWD vs 4WD. 2011 vs 2000. I dunno man, it could be close.

I'll be bringing my Chevrolegs. Staying within walking distance to Humpy's.

There are "meet ups" but no C&C specifically in my city. There is one in Portland, but most of the people from the surrounding areas I talk to are less than excited to drive there and deal with the people. On the flip side, the amount of time it would take to really coordinate something the way it should be is not at my disposal right now, so I won't be starting one.
In order to really start one and make it successful beyond people simply showing up, someone really needs to engage businesses, structure the events, predict logistics, and keep order over the event proceedings. More often than not events like these are dead on arrival because no one can keep the stupid people in line and they do something to get the police involved or the business owners to throw them out.

Ha ha I'm not too far away. I live on the Government Hill side of base. Right next to downtown.

Have you thought about contacting organizers of C&C events in other cities? The Cars & Coffee website has forums, and I'm sure they would love to help you organize something like this in Seattle.

Yep, I thought about it and most likely will contact them for assistance. I've had a few ideas in my head for meets. Mainly ones that help different charities around the city. A friend of mine organized the Flash Mob Cruises this past spring/summer in Seattle so I've got at least someone that has organized something similar before to help.

There is supposedly something similar around here that also involves go-karts. I'd attend, but I'm pretty sure A) a truck would not be well received, and B) If they act in person the same way they do online, I'd have 5 stars and be making a run for the Canadian border within 3 minutes.

In the Seattle area?! That's an idea too! PGP Kart Racing meets would be neat, and I'm sure they'd love the extra business.

That sounds like a great start.
Another group to contact is near where I live (Chicago). They do something similar called Supercar Saturdays . They've done a good job of organizing two different locations they alternate on a monthly basis.

Seattle has a Caffine and Carburetors every first Saturday. Although making it every week would be great.

Are you talking about the one at Griot's? I like that one, but having it centered around a single theme isn't something I'd want for this.

I'd just like to know where my nearest Cars and Coffee would be in Ohio.

I try to post up all the upcoming meets that I know about on here. Join this group on Facebook:

The next BIG meet is on May 18th up in Monroe for DriftCon. There's a few smaller meets happening too. Sunday there's a cruise to the old Satsop Nuclear plant. Dick's in Edmonds every Friday night, a Saturday night Dick's meet on the 22nd, etc.

Great news! You're actually wrong on this!
I just looked at the C&C website, and there's one in Hamburg .

I'm sure our local guy (Curt) would be willing to share his thoughts on getting one going.

Hey Dukie,
I came across this post looking for a Seattle Cars and Coffee through Google. Did you ever get anything like that going or find one?

I didn’t, however there are at least 2 groups that do have “Cars & Coffee” meets. One is Seattle Cars & Coffee the other is Caffinated Cars. Both are Facebook based groups. SCC is geared more towards monthly drives, and higher end sports/luxury cars (Porsche, Audi, etc). They don’t “discriminate” though. Full disclosure, I haven’t made a drive yet, and yesterday’s drive was cancelled due to weather (even though it cleared up later in the day). CC is a weekly meet every Sunday at 10am. Locations rotate with suggestions from the group and usually are in the South Sound, though there has been some central and northern locations. Family oriented type meets.
Maybe I’ll start a “Toyotas and Ta-Tas” meet at Cowgirls... I’m sure my wife will love that.
